The Vero Beach Prayer Breakfast Committee is delighted to announce that Anne Graham Lotz, The daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Billy Graham and founder of AnGeL Ministries, has accepted an invitation to be this year’s keynote speaker. The Breakfast will return to its former location in a huge tent on the grounds of Riverside Park on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:30 - Riverside Park. Last year’s event brought over 1600 of the area’s leaders and residents together for presentations by local and national speakers. The faithful share a meal catered by Toojays, prayer and song.
Anne Graham Lotz, founder of AnGeL Ministries, has passionately proclaimed God’s Word to people around the world for over thirty years. Her gripping narratives and heart-touching teaching have inspired listeners in arenas and prison cells, stadiums and Bible studies, sanctuaries and seminaries, the United Nations and Amsterdam 2000. The daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Billy Graham, Anne launched Just Give Me Jesus in the year 2000. Anne is an award-winning and best-selling author. Her eleven books include her signature book Just Give Me Jesus and her 2009 release The Magnificent Obsession. Anne and her husband, Dr. Dan Lotz, reside in North Carolina.
John Bona, Founder and Co- Chairman stated about the Prayer Breakfast, "We are all here because we believe in the power of faith in God, faith in Jesus Christ." Mr. Bona, along with other local community leaders formed the Vero Beach Prayer Breakfast in 2003 along with friends Ken McKellar and Wintley Phipps. Mr. Bona and Mr. Phipps have been very active promoting the "Prayer Breakfast" concept around America. Bona said, "The purpose of promoting the breakfast is to encourage other business people to start this ministry in their respective communities, by dedicating our cities to Christ, and to glorify Him in the public square." Bona and Phipps have appeared on nationally televised Christian programs, including Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah, The Old Time Gospel Hour, Live at Liberty, Coral Ridge Hour and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Broadcast.
Gospel singer Wintley Phipps, a Vero Beach resident, will be performing special music at the Breakfast. Phipps is an ordained minister, world-renowned vocal artist, and innovative initiator of special projects such as the US Dream Academy. Phipps has been the featured speaker and
performer at many notable occasions around the world. He has performed for American Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush at several National Prayer Breakfast events and other distinguished celebrations. He also performed for Mother Teresa of Calcutta and South African President Nelson Mandela.
